Girl With The Dragon Tattoo- Intro

Hey,

A few months ago I blogged about the movie 'Girl With The Dragon Tattoo' in which I had the sincere pleasure to work with Tim Miller over at Blur Studios on the intro sequence.  It came out looking really stellar and proud to be a part of a thought provoking project such as this.  For those whom wish to read about the project, see the intro, and more...check out this link below!

In the article, Blur officially released a bunch of artwork which included a few pieces that I did which can be seen below & on the front page of my website.  There are plenty of other designs to show that I had done, just waiting to see what is given the 'green light' in the future to showcase such work.

New Item for 2012---> Monster Compendium

We are officially into the apocalyptic year 2012 and convention season is upon us all ready!  I've got a new book that is being unveiled before the the events begin which is:

Mail Order Monster: Compendium

 Description: Within this unholy manuscript lies a massive collection of strange & bizarre designs from creator Jason Felix.   The subject matter: Monsters. This compendium showcases an array of artwork depicting creature’s hell bent on destruction, demons from different dimensions, beasts of raging torment, and other endless doodles to keep your eyes vigilant and your mind engaged.  This book collects previous sold out volumes while still amassing plenty of new imagery for the avid monster art collector.

To be published by Brandstudio Press. Summer 2012.

Price: $24.95 US Dollars 8 3/4x12 3/8, 72 pages Full-Color, Full-Bleed, Hardcover, Perfect bound-Sewn Pages.

Books are not available for  pre-order at this time.  Future announcements will disclose details about how to purchase. 

For all future books, I'm veering away from self publishing and looking to collaboratively work with like minded publishers. I've been in discussions with various publishers such as Baby Tattoo, Pulp Art, Chronicle Books, and Brand Studios Press.   

Mail Order Monsters: Compendium is the first book to be jointly published that is a reciprocal agreement where future personal projects may flourish within.

Generally speaking, it's an exciting and scary time for publishing!  Plenty of ways to find quality printers and distribution channels are endless.  But the true key interest lies within the digital media which my books will be switching over to as the demand grows greater.  Is print destined to decline?  For sure.  But ideas and creative projects will always flourish.

It might seem early to start posting about the convention season, but as each year progresses there are more show to attend.  In all honesty, I think its a great thing because even though I love the comic book conventions, I yearn for more niche show such as art events.

Girl with the Dragon Tattoo- Intro

Happy New Years!!!

I'm proud to announce that I did some work on the title sequence Blur Studios created for the movie 'The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo'.  Even though I cannot post the concept artwork that I did for Blur, I can at least post the final video sequence that has been unleashed online.  Its leek and sexy....

The Grand Prix Magic tournament was fantastic, just forgot to take some pictures.  Was a pleasure to meet all the other Magic artists and attendees.

New York Comic Con 2011 OCTOBER 13-16th

A last minute setup has allowed me to attend this years New York Comic Con.  

I'll be either situated in the artist alley OR sharing a booth space at Blackwatch Comics. Most likely, you will be able to find me at the booth which is #1912.

I'm pretty excited to finally visit NYC for the first time and also to get a sense of how east coast living is. 

Guessing there is plenty to take in and will try to post some pictures during the trip.
